Counselling is a collaborative therapeutic journey so you are not alone in this journey. While counsellors don’t have a magic wand to “fix” things, they are there to help you to gain insights into your patterns, aid you in gaining personal tools to support you in life navigating life's challenges toward a more balanced way of being.

Starting your counselling journey can feel daunting but it may be the first step towards positive growth, healing, and transformation.

Integrative

Integrative counsellors believe that no single therapeutic approach can help every client in all situations. Instead, we consider the client as a whole person, taking into account their circumstances and individual needs. Integrative counsellors use theories and tools from different schools of thought. Here are some of the approaches I use:

Person-Centred

Person-centred counseling is a therapeutic approach that focuses on a client’s experience of themselves, rather than the counselor’s analysis. It’s based on the idea that clients can reach their full potential and become their true selves through this process, which is called “self-actualization.” Therefore, your experiences are the focus of the sessions - to gain self-awareness and independence.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic counseling, also known as psychodynamic therapy, is a psychological approach that helps clients understand their past conflicts and become more self-aware. It’s based on the idea that many of life’s problems are caused by mental processes that are hidden from us. This approach is used if it’s seen as beneficial, and you are comfortable to.

Systemic

Systemic counseling, also known as systemic therapy, is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the individual in the context of their relationships with others. I may use Systemic therapy to help you gain further insight into patterns in your relationships, as well as how to cope better in your close relationships.

Online Counselling, in UK

I am based in Leeds and I also work remotely. I am qualified and experienced working remotely to clients in the UK. The sessions will be held remotely usually via Google Meet. For our sessions you must be alone in a quiet, comfortable, and safe room in the UK. The device you use for sessions must have access to both a microphone and a camera.

Studies have found that counselling online can be as effective as in-person counselling. Additionally, it can be more convenient, increase anonymity, be more accessible, and private, with the added comfort of being your own home.

Sessions and Fees

I offer a free 10-minute initial telephone consultation to go through any questions or concerns before starting our sessions.

I offer open-ended counselling and psychotherapy sessions that will be held once per week and last for 50 minutes. All sessions will be £50 for 50 minutes.

There is no obligation to book further sessions after the initial session.

My working hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: between 10:00 - 16:00. On Wednesdays my hours are between 15:00 - 20:00.

For face-to-face sessions, will soon be available.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss days and times, as I may have some flexibility around this.

Get in touch

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.

All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.

Please be sure to check your spam, as replies may end up there.
